East Africa Brand Quality Awards: Bidco Uganda Limited gets Precious Award

Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL), the leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in the East African Region, has been recognized with a Platinum Award at the recently concluded East Africa Brand Quality Awards. The Awards offer a unique platform that brings together the who's who from the manufacturing sector, entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders and corporate. At the Awards Dinner held on November 10, 2023 at Hotel Africa in Kampala, BUL was recognized with a Platinum Award as the leading manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods in East Africa. BUL also won a Platinum Award for the best manufacturer of edible vegetable oils and detergents in the Region.

Saba Teleclemariam, the Head of Quality Assurance and Food Safety at Bidco Uganda Limited, expressed joy over the recognition. "It's a confirmation for us. We have systems and standards in place to make sure that our products are safe for consumption. It is a joy," said Ms. Saba, adding, "That's what we are doing and we are on the right path.” However, Ms. Saba said the win is also a challenge. It means that the company continues to be the leading player in the FMCG space in the region. "It also pushes us to do more. If there are areas to improve, we navigate and improve," said Ms. Saba. We are happy, Rajdeep Chakraborty, Bidco Uganda Limited Head of Marketing and Exports, said. "It means that our consumers appreciate our products. We are very happy. We will continue following our set standards and guidelines to offer the best to our consumers," Mr. Rajdeep Chakraborty noted.
